It's your choice.
Over Sydney’s four years at The Winchendon School, she crafted a pathway through ColLABs to conceive and then work on her graphic novel. By the time she graduated, Sydney had refined her drawing style, plotted out her novel, built the storyboards, and had a portfolio of experiences and published works to bring with her to interviews for college. You can see Sydney's work sprinkled throughout the pages of our website and on campus.
Immersive learning through ColLABs studies at The Winchendon School means our students have achieved subject mastery and personal growth through our experience-based learning. This can look different for different students. For some students, it may look like an internship at a non-profit learning how to fundraise, while for another student it may be writing a research paper on The Detection Mechanism of Gravitational Waves Emitted from a Type 1A Supernovae.
Other students will specialize in medical ColLABs or seek out business internships. And if that's not your thing, faculty-run ColLABs will challenge you for ten days on the Long Trail, or taking a deep dive into the history of rock, or the retracing the steps of the Underground Railroad in New England or any of the other almost 30 courses offered.
